FAQ
What makes your soap different from store-bought soap?
Our soaps are handcrafted in small batches using 100% raw goat milk from our own goats — not powdered milk and not watered down. Most commercial soaps are only legally required to use 10% goat milk, which often amounts to less than a couple ounces per batch. We use no water at all — only real, raw goat milk — along with nourishing oils, rich butters, and grass-fed beef tallow for a creamy, conditioning lather.
Do you really use 100% goat milk?
Yes. Every bar is made with 100% raw goat milk and zero water. No powdered milk, no reconstituted milk, no shortcuts.
Why do you use beef tallow in your soap?
Grass-fed beef tallow is incredibly nourishing for skin and closely mimics the natural oils our skin already produces. It creates a rich, creamy lather and helps leave skin feeling soft and moisturized — not dry or tight.
Are your soaps “all natural”?
We focus on clean, intentional ingredients rather than buzzwords. Our soaps are made with real goat milk, natural oils, butters, and tallow. Some bars are colored with cosmetic-grade mica for fun, vibrant designs, while others are left naturally colored. We believe in transparency so you always know exactly what’s in your soap.
What is mica and is it safe?
Mica is a cosmetic-grade mineral pigment used to color soaps and cosmetics. We purchase all of our mica from Mad Micas, a trusted supplier known for safety testing and ethical sourcing. Mica is skin-safe and approved for cosmetic use.
Will mica stain my skin?
No. Mica does not stain skin. However, some darker or highly pigmented soaps can temporarily stain light-colored washcloths, loofahs, or towels. We recommend using darker cloths for darker soaps if staining is a concern.
Why do some soaps turn brown over time?
Certain fragrance oils, essential oils, sugars, vanilla, honey, or even the natural sugars in goat milk can cause soap to darken over time. This is completely normal and does not affect the quality, safety, or performance of the soap.
Why do some bars look different from others?
Because our soaps are handmade in small batches, slight variations in color, design, and weight are normal. This is part of what makes handmade soap special — no two bars are exactly alike.
Is your soap good for sensitive skin?
Many customers with sensitive skin love our soaps, especially our unscented or lightly scented options. That said, everyone’s skin is different. If you have sensitivities, we recommend reviewing the ingredient list and doing a small patch test first.
Are your soaps safe for kids?
Our soaps are made with gentle, skin-loving ingredients. For very young children or sensitive skin, we recommend choosing an unscented bar.
How long does a bar of soap last?
With proper care — allowing the bar to dry fully between uses — one bar can last several weeks to months depending on use.
How should I store my soap?
Keep your soap on a well-draining soap dish and allow it to dry between uses. This helps extend the life of your bar and keeps it firm.
Do you test on animals?
Never. Our products are cruelty-free and tested only on willing humans.
